GREENSTONE—The Municipality of Greenstone held the windup for the 2022 Youth Baseball Season in both Geraldton and Longlac on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
This year there were 133 participants and 18 volunteer coaches who came together to make this program a successful one.
With the help of all the volunteers the program ran for 8 weeks. The municipality thanked the 18 volunteers as well as the municipality staff who also helped through out the duration of the youth baseball season.
The windup event took place at the Geraldton Community Center lobby, and at the Longlac Sports Plex. Organizers held a BBQ from 5-6:00 p.m., for all participants this year. A huge thank you was extended to all of the volunteers that made this program possible and fun for local youth!
Volunteers for Longlac included :Renee, Mitch, Brent, Miguel, Phanie, Sarah, Jeremy, Jemma and Albert
Volunteers for Geraldton included : Doug, Dan, Alyssa, Ryan, Leslie, Chris, Colin, Kaitlyn and Kevin
The Municipality's Staff volunteered their time to cook for for all participants, coaches, families and volunteers, present at the windups.
Next up for these municipalitues is their youth soccer program which begins on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
