MARATHON — The Biigtigong Nishnaabeg First Nation is holding a penny auction fundraiser for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The fundraiser is set to run from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Biigtigong Community Hall.
Cassandra Cress, consultation and governance officer with the First Nation, was on hand Tuesday to accept a donation to the event from Carmelo Notarbartolo, NFMC’s general manager of the Nawiiginokiima Forest Corporation (NFMC).
