HEARST—The Township of Hearst informed the public that the Ministry of Municipal and Affairs and Housing is hosting a candidate information session for those interested in running for the 2022 October municipal election.
The session is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 at the Kapuskasing Municipal Office for 6:30 p.m. and will deal with the following topics:
Roles and responsibilities of Mayor and Councillors
- Council and staff relations
- Municipal Act 2001
- Policies and legislation
The sessions are free and will be followed by a question period.
