MANITOUWADGE-With many townships in the region offering candidate information sessions in the past few months, nominations for candidates running in the 2022 Municipal and School Board election are slowly coming in.
The Township of Manitouwadge reports that two individuals have filed nomination papers with the Office of the Clerk. Jim Moffat filed his name as candidate for mayor, on June 14, 2022; while Kathy Hudson filed her name as candidate for councillor, on June 23.
The township intends to update these lists daily as nominations are received. They also clarified that the nominees listed on these lists, are not official candidates until the Clerk has certified their nomination.
