CARAMAT, ON—The tradition continues as Caramat 63rd annual fish derby is set to happen July 8, 9 and 10, 2022.
The township posted a notice for residents and interested participants to know the schedule of events for this weekend. The fish derby officially opens at 4:00 a.m. on July 9, with their famous fish derby dance happening that Saturday evening beginning at 9:00 p.m.
Sponsored by the Caramat Community Club this year’s fish derby is sure to offer a variety of fun-filled family activities.
The fish derby will feature CFNO’s very own Al Cresswell who will be the emcee for events scheduled Sunday, July 10.
A live performance by Fort Frances band Distant Legacy is also scheduled that week-end. In addition the band Full Throttle will be performing on Sunday afternoon.
Caramat Fish Derby 2022, is filled with a variety of events including:
- A slow pitch tournament
- Fish derby dance
- Kids candy toss
- Music by live bands
- Beer gardens
Caramat Community Club invites all residents and visitors to come out this week-end for what’s promised to be a opportunity to gather with friends, family, neighbours and community organizations and businesses.
