SCHREIBER—With Schreiber Heritage Days scheduled to begin this week-end there is no lack of events for the community to take part in.
As part of Heritage Days, the 2022 Filane’s classic mixed soft-ball tournament is set to go from July 15 until the championship game scheduled for July 17, 2022.
The week-end tournament promises to have something for everyone, with the first bat scheduled to be swung at 4:30 p.m. on July 15. The first game will run from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Fallen Rock Minor Hockey Association is proud to host this eight annual tournament. The “Classic” as locals like to refer to it, is an open mixed soft ball tournament featuring six men and four women on the field at one time.
Games will run from Friday afternoon right through until Saturday evening with the championship games scheduled to run then.
In addition, organizers want you to know that this fun-filled weekend of baseball at the Schreiber field will feature:
- A beer garden
- Daily draws and giveaways
- Food and beverages, with Slushies
The baseball game will conclude with a public dance on Saturday evening, at the Recreation Hall beginning at 8 p.m. Music will be provided by local self-proclaimed legend Santi Sounds. This year’s Filane’s Classic Heritage Days dance will have you dancing until 1 p.m.
