Community pride and partnership evident this past weekend

Community pride and partnership was evident this past weekend in Schreiber as the township celebrated Canada Day.

SCHREIBER—The Township of Schreiber’s Recreation Committee and Senior Centre were extremely grateful for all of the hard work put forth by community volunteers, individuals, local businesses and community organizations, who rallied together to make this year’s Canada Day celebrations a memorable one for everyone.

They thanked everyone who came out to the Canada Day celebrations and for the tremendous support shown by the community.

In their view, it was this community support that energized the residents and the volunteers who help each year make this event so successful.

The Recreation committee and Senior Centre also thanked Raymond Goodchild and Gilbert Martin from Pays Plat First Nations for the opening ceremony they performed. The Township of Schreiber described this partnership as “essential to the growth of our community.”
