TERRACE BAY—The Township of Terrace Bay is counting down the days to the 75th Anniversary celebrations. With less than 25 days to go the community has come together to plan events, volunteer their help and ultimately plan a week of celebratory events sure to be a community-based endeavour.
The township is kicking off its anniversary celebrations with a “Welcome Day” scheduled for Aug. 18, the first day of a four-day event. The celebrations run from Aug. 18 to Aug. 21, 2022.
In its most recent reminder, the township reaffirmed its commitment to make this celebration one that, “endeavours to instill a sense of pride in commemorating moments past, and present while celebrating our bright future as a community.”
The four days promise to be filled with events that include festivities, entertainment, reunions and reflections for all current and former residents as well as visitors.

- Beach Party August 20
- Farewell Day August 21
A highlight of their 75th anniversary will be the township’s “Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Ceremony” scheduled to take place Tuesday, August 17, at the Michael King Hall when they will be honouring 13 inductees. This event is open to the public.
