TERRACE BAY — Maria Vasanelli, Director of Education for Superior North Catholic District School Board, reminds parents, guardians, and caregivers of the importance of having their child continue to self-screen daily before going to school.

In her recent letter posted on SNCDSB Face Book page, she highlighted the fact that COVID-19 still exists in Ontario. Vasanelli also mentioned the fact that the board is still providing masks for students who may wish to continue wearing them.

Students attending schools under the SNCDSB umbrella must self-screen daily before attending school using the Ontario School Screening Tool, until further notice. If they are not feeling well, or show any symptoms of COVID-19, the director indicated that students should stay home, so they do not spread the virus to their peers or staff.

The director shared that rapid antigen tests will still be available for all symptomatic staff and students and that the schools have improved ventilation systems to help keep all students safer.
