Domestic dispute leads to criminal charges

According to the OPP, their investigation revealed an individual violated their release conditions by communicating with someone when their probation order was not to.

WAWA – On the morning of January 7, officers with the Superior East OPP responded to a domestic disturbance on Mission Road.

According to the OPP, their investigation revealed an individual violated their release conditions by communicating with someone when their probation order was not to.

As a result, the OPP stated that a 25-year-old person from Wawa was arrested and charged with three counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court in February.

The OPP stated that due to the domestic nature of the incident, the name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
