Driver charged after vehicle hits gas pump

One individual has been arrested and charged following a motor vehicle collision at a local gas station.

NIPIGON – Early this morning, Nipigon OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision at a gas station on Highway 11/17.

According to the OPP, officers received a call for service requesting to stop the vehicle, which was travelling east.

However, shortly after, officers were called to a Husky truck stop after a vehicle collided with the gas pump. 

Luckily no fire or explosion resulted from the collision. 

As a result, a 24-year-old from Thunder Bay has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation and mischief.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date.
