Driver injured after collision with moose on Highway 17

MARATHON — One person suffered what police describe as minor injuries following a collision Sunday between a vehicle and a moose on Highway 17.

The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. east of the Steel River Bridge.

A photo posted on social media by OPP shows a pickup truck off the road and upside down.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to Marathon hospital for treatment.
