GREENSTONE — The driver of a transport that crashed into two homes in Beardmore last month has been charged.

Provincial police on Monday confirmed that a 24-year-old from Brampton faces a charge of careless driving for the incident that happened on Highway 11 on March 17.

The incident happened during overnight hours and caused significant damage to both buildings.

Nobody inside the homes had reported injuries, police said at the time. The occupants of the vehicle were taken to a Nipigon hospital for treatment of undetermined injuries.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Greenstone court at a later date.
