Drug trafficking charges laid in Greenstone

GREENSTONE -- A 42-year-old is facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop on Long Lake 58 First Nation.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers conducted a traffic stop on Monday on Long Lake 58 First Nation.

Police say after a brief foot pursuit police arrested an individual for drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, Jon BOUCHARD, 42 yrs. of Long Lake 58 First Nation was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance - cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance - methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance - hydromorphone, possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance - oxycodone, proceeds of crime under $5,000 and obstruct police.

BOUCHARD is scheduled to appear in court on the April 27, 2022 at the Longlac Court of Justice.
