Extreme cold warning issued for parts of region

Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
Cold weather ahead

SUPERIOR NORTH -- Environment Canada is warning residents to bundle up.

The government weather agency states a period of very cold wind chills continues until Thursday morning.

Wind chill values between -45C and -50C are expected.

Wind chill values are expected to moderate to near =40C on Thursday morning before potentially becoming near -45C Thursday night.

Very cold wind chills may return in the overnight hours for the remainder of the week and into the weekend.

  • Webequie
