Extreme cold remains in effect

Environment Canada is warning residents to dress in layers that you can remove if you get too warm.

SUPERIOR NORTH -- Environment Canada says a prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected.

The government weather agency says wind chill values near -45C are expected Wednesday morning in Peawanuck, Fort Severn and Webequie.

Wind chill values near -45C could return Wednesday night and persist into Thursday morning.
