Freezing rain warning issued for the region

SUPERIOR NORTH – Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the region.

The government weather agency says freezing rain is expected to begin Tuesday evening until Wednesday around noon before transitioning to showers.

Ice accretions of two millimetre to eight millimetre are possible, with the heaviest amounts occurring in communities near Lake Superior.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

  • Beardmore - Jellicoe - Macdiarmid
  • Gull Bay - Black Sturgeon Lake
  • Marathon - Schreiber
  • Nipigon - Rossport
  • Wawa - Pukaskwa Park
  • White River - Dubreuilville
