George O’Neill Public School fundraiser for Ukraine

Combining art with a concern for helping others is definitely the focus of an in-class activity for the grade 5/6 class at George O'Neill Public School. Their art activity will be used to raise funds to help families in the Ukraine.

NIPIGON—Several schools within the region have found a variety of ways to offer support to the Ukraine. The Grade 5/6 class, at George O’Neill’s Public School have come up with their own unique way to show support.

Students in the class will be making beaded and loom bracelets, to sell as a fundraiser to help the families living in the Ukraine. The bracelets come in a variety of colours and demonstrate the student’s creativity and willingness to engage in an activity that is both artistic and can help raise funds for such a worthy cause.

Purchases can be made at a cost of $3.50 each, up to Tuesday, April 5, at 2 p.m.

The school informed the school body, that students who purchase bracelets will have the opportunity to browse and pick a bracelet of their choice. For their convenience, bracelets can be purchased through “school cash” online.
