George O’Neill Public School offering transition to Kindergarten program

Helping your child prepare for their first day of school can be challenging for some. George O'Neill Public School wants to help minimize this challenge by offering a transitioning to Kindergarten program.

NIPIGON—Parents, guardians, and caregivers of children beginning Kindergarten in September 2022 are invited to participate in a special transition to Kindergarten program offered by George O’Neill Public School.

Their theme for this is: “Learn to Play-Play to Learn”. The program will offer a variety of activities ranging from a drop in play date in the JK classroom to a visit to the neighborhood fire station.

Registration is open by calling 887-2107 or by visiting the school in person at 124 Bell Street, Nipigon.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • May 19, Parent Info night, 4-6 p.m.
  • May 20, Drop in play date, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • May 27, Visit to Fire Station, 10-11 a.m.
  • June 16, Family BBQ, 12-2 p.m.
  • June 17, Outdoor learning, Nipigon Marina 1-2 p.m.
