Geraldton Barton Bay trail closure and Project Update Presentation

GERALDTON -- Geraldton residents were informed that the Barton nature trail that runs from Rosedale Point to the Interpretive Center is now closed to public access.

The closure is to ensure the safety of everyone as Greenstone Mine moves forward with work related to the construction of the mine.

Greenstone Mine has posted “No Trespassing” signs within the Barton Bay Trail area as a visible means of informing everyone of the closure of the trail.

A Project Update presentation is being organized by Greenstone Mines and is scheduled for Dec. 14, 2021, 6:30 p.m. at the Geraldton Community Center.

The focus of this presentation is to provide an update on the ongoing future activities to the public.

Keynote speaker will be Eric Lamontage.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions seating will be limited, and will be first come first serve.
