GREENSTONE: The Municipality of Greenstone Mine released an information notice for their residents informing them that Equinox Gold Greenstone Mine will be starting their operational blasting soon.
Greenstone Mine wishes to advise the public that open pit activities are commencing and will consist of regularly scheduled blasts. Blasting commenced at the end of August and will occur on a regular basis.
For the safety of residents, Greenstone mine asks that you follow and obey the posted signs and not enter any work area unless authorized to do so. Project security will be present or patrolling in areas to ensure everyone’s safety.
Scheduled blasts will occur within the project area, the Highway 11 Realignment and within the pit area.
The notice indicated too that, “The safety of our employees, contractors, and the general public is paramount we begin open pit mining and continue to advance the construction of the Greenstone Mine.
