LONGLAC — The Municipality of Greenstone has shut off water in areas of Longlac to make necessary repairs to a local waterline Monday.

The work started at 11:30 a.m. and will take place at the corner of Picnic Point Road and Kenogami Road.

It will affect all areas north of Picnic Point Road and east of the train tracks.

These efforts will work to ensure the water tower does not drain completely.

However, these repairs will result in a road closure from Hudson to the corner.

The water is expected to be turned back on for these areas later on in the day.

For more information, the municipality will post updates on these water shut-offs on its website as they are received.
