TERRACE BAY: The Superior North Catholic District School Board, (SNCDSB) Superior-Greenstone School Board (SGDSB) and their respective schools will be flying their flags at half-mast, in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Sept. 8, 2022.
Both the SNCDSB, and SGDSB, posted their announcement on their social media page indicating that, flags at all SNCDSB and SGDSB schools will be flown at half-mast now until sunset on the day of the memorial (date to be determined) for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on September 8, 2022.”
This sentiment was reflected on all of the region’s schools, social media accounts, to reaffirm that their school communities will honour the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
According to the official social media accounts of the Royal Family, the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She was 96 years old and has been the Queen of the United Kingdom, since she was 25.
