HEARST—Residents of the Township of Hearst, Hornepayne and Kapuskasing are being offered COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week.
Porcupine Health Unit, (PHU) will be offering these clinics according to the following dates and locations:
Hearst:
- Wednesday Sept. 21, at Old Pharmacy from 2:00-6:00 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 23, at Nord-Aski FHT-- 1:00-3:00 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 24, at Old Pharmacy 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Hornepayne:
- Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Legion-2:00-6:00 p.m.,
Kapuskasing:
- Thursday, Sept. 22, at Centre de Loisirs-10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

PHU informed their community that clinic bookings are now available for doses in the primary series of the vaccine to all individuals aged 6 months and older. Booster doses are available to those who qualify. Please call 705-360-4819.
In addition, PHU indicated that, “As of September 29, 2021, there is a preferential recommendation of the use of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for individuals aged 18-24 years old.”
