Highway 11 has reopened between Longlac and Cochrane after previously being closed.
The section of highway was closed late Wednesday morning due to poor road and weather conditions.
Environment Canada has issued weather warnings across northern Ontario, with winter storm warnings in effect for most of the northwest, which turn into freezing rain warnings heading into the northeast.
Environment Canada is forecasting snow mixed with ice pellets and freezing rain, cautioning that travel could be made difficult by rapidly accumulating snow and that conditions will likely be slippery.
