Highway 11 north is reopened after a serious collision

Although there are still no details from the OPP into the serious collision that closed Highway 11 between Nipigon and Beardmore, the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has announced that Highway 11 North is now reopened.

BEARDMORE - At approximately 5 p.m. on December 28, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and other emergency services were called to the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, approximately 13 kilometres south of Beardmore.

Highway 11 was closed in both directions at this location while emergency services worked the scene.

Just after 11 a.m. today, MTO confirmed the scene was cleared, and they reopened the highway in both directions.
