NIPIGON, ON — Ontario Provincial Police say they are investigating a fatal collision on Highway 17 east of Nipigon.
The collision involved a tractor trailer and another vehicle, and occurred Tuesday afternoon approximately six kilometres from the town.
It forced the closure of both lanes of the highway between Nipigon and Schreiber.
A photo posted on the Skilled Truckers Canada Facebook page showed a transport truck on its side, and the badly damaged second vehicle in front of it.
There was no immediate word on how long the highway would remain closed.
