UPDATE: Highway 17 closed due to tractor trailer fire

ROSSPORT — One lane of Highway 17 has been reopened.

OPP is advising motorists to exercise caution as emergency services are still on the scene. 

Earlier this morning, the OPP closed Highway 17 in both directions as emergency units attended to a tractor-trailer fire at Cavers Hill, west of Schreiber.

OPP Northwest Region stated on their Facebook page that emergency crews are on the scene.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and if they are unable to avoid it, to expect delays.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
