HORNEPAYNE—The Municipality of Hornepayne is holding its Fall Clean-up Event 2022.
From Monday Oct.3, to Sunday, Oct. 9, the Township landfill site will be open seven days during that week, from 12:00p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
During Fall Clean-up week, Hornepayne residents will be given two options for garbage disposal.
Option one will be to deliver items to the landfill site themselves, during those dates and times given.
Option two will be to leave the items on the curbside for pick-up.
Should residents choose option two they need to be aware that this option will only be available from Monday, Oct. 3 until Friday, Oct. 7, at noon. Residents should contact Town Hall at (807) -868-2020, ext. 0 or their Public Works Department at (807)-868-2212, to leave a message with pick up location details.
In addition, during this event, the Township will not be charging anyone any tipping fees.
Other specific details regarding their Fall Clean-up event includes the following:
- Derelict vehicles and tires will not be picked up by the Township.
- Tipping fees exemptions will not apply to the disposal of derelict buildings or commercial operations.
- Refrigerators and freezers will only be picked up if the freon, has been removed and the appliance has been tagged by a qualified person.
