Hornepayne residents reminded of Bylaw-and open spaces

Township of Hornepayne reminding community about Bylaw-No. 244.

HORNEPAYNE—The Township of Hornepayne is reminding residents about where motorized vehicles can park when near open spaces.

The were recently made aware of concerns regarding the fact that motorized vehicles have been driving on grassy areas at Cedar Point Park.

According to the Township’s notice, they reminded everyone of Bylaw-No. 244 which states that, “All motorized vehicles that make use of the Cedar Point Park only use proper roads for travelling.”

In addition, their reminder indicated that, parking is only allowed in proper parking areas, which excludes open field areas.

The Township’s primary concern is public safety and therefore, their notice to residents also included that are focused at keeping Cedar Point a safe place for both residents and visitors to enjoy, and they ask that everyone helps them do that.

Furthermore, their notice to residents indicated that this concern will be made a topic of discussion on the Township’s agenda for the upcoming council meeting set for Sept. 20, 2022.
