Hornepayne Residents still require proof of vaccine

Hornepayne residents, recently learned otherwise from their Council, who in the best interest of safety and health, still require proof of vaccine.
COVID-19 Vaccine 1

HORNEPAYNE—Even though beginning March 1, the Government of Ontario has removed the need to show proof of full vaccination for places such as workplaces, restaurants, gyms, arenas and fitness centres, the Municipality of Hornepayne has chosen to continue their requirement.

On Tuesday, CAO/CLERK Gail Jaremy informed Marathon residents that, “In the interest of acting on our values of community care and protecting those around us who remain most vulnerable to COVID-19, the Township of Hornepayne will continue to require proof of full vaccination in the form of a QR code until further notice”.

The Government has stated in their own announcement that businesses may continue to have a required proof of vaccination Policy, if they decide to do so.

Hornepayne’s Municipal Council believe that this is the safest decision that I could make for its community at this time.

Jaremy encourages residents to get their third dose/booster shot if they haven’t already done so. She asks residents to, “continue to do their part in supporting one another through these challenging circumstances”.
