Hornpayne man charged with trafficking cocaine

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice

HORNEPAYNE — A local resident was arrested after police received reports of illegal drug activity. 

Ontario Provincial Police said that members of the Superior East Detachment were notified of a drug related occurrence on Sept. 9 shortly after 11 a.m. 

Police responded to the call which was reported on Sixth Avenue and as a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old from Hornepayne has been arrested and charged with one count of trafficking cocaine. 

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Oct. 5 in Hearst.
