Hospital urges residents to follow COVID-19 protocols

It is important to maintain physical distancing, sanitize hands and wear a mask.

NIPIGON – With the rise in cases, the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital is urging residents to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the province, Thunder Bay district, north shore communities and several cases in Nipigon area it is crucial to remain diligently with Public Health Protocols, stated Nipigon District Memorial Hospital in a Facebook post.

When people are close together, in crowded places and closed spaces, there’s an increased risk of spreading the virus.

Hospital officials want to remind residents even if vaccinated it is important to maintain physical distancing of six feet, sanitize hands and wear a mask.
