MANITOUWADGE — Provincial police arrested a 72-year-old for impaired driving after being stopped at a RIDE checkpoint.
Police said officers in Manitouwadge set up the checkpoint at the intersection of Redwing Avenue and Ohsweken Road on the evening of Dec. 14, where they stopped the vehicle.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Manitouwadge OPP detachment for further testing.
The accused is charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired, and is due in a Manitouwadge courtroom next month.
