Jody Wilson-Raybould to headline Diversity Thunder Bay talk

THUNDER BAY – Jody Wilson-Raybould will address reconciliation in a free virtual presentation offered in March by Diversity Thunder Bay.

Her talk, entitled ‘Taking Steps to Advance True Reconciliation,’ will be the keynote in the organization’s 16th annual celebration of the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, March 23 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

In 2021, when Diversity Thunder Bay presented Jesse Wente for this type of virtual presentation, they had over 700 attendees pre-register, and they have already surpassed this and reached our initial attendance goal of 1000, for this year's event.

This milestone, along with the tremendous community support from all of their sponsors, is allowing Diversity Thunder Bay to increase the webinar capacity from 1,000 to 2,000.

Wilson-Raybould is a lawyer, a bestselling author of: Indian’ In the Cabinet: Speaking Truth to Power and From Where I Stand and Rebuilding Indigenous Nations for a Stronger Canada, an advocate and a leader in British Columbia’s First Nations.

She has been a provincial crown prosecutor, a councillor for the We Wai Kai Nation, a chair of the First Nations Finance Authority and has served as Regional Chief of the BC Assembly of First Nations.
