Lady of Fatima Catholic School looking to establish a parent council

Lady of Fatima Catholic School is hoping to establish a school council this year.

LONGLAC—Lady of Fatima Catholic School is looking to have their first school council.

Principal Tim Griffin sent out an information notice through the school’s recent Facebook post. As a school community it has faced some challenges through the pandemic making it difficult to set up a school council.

“The school council is an important aspect of school and a great opportunity to have some input into decisions regarding your child’s school,” stated Griffin.

In his notice Griffin offered information about:

  • What a school council is.
  • Who can be part of the school council
  • Reasons to volunteer and be on the school council

In addition, parents, guardians and care-givers who may be interested in volunteering to sit on the school council were informed that it only requires that they attend 4 meetings throughout the year.

For any other information or if you are interested in being a part of the school council, you are encouraged to call the school directly.
