GERALDTON -- A Greenstone resident is facing numerous charges following an incident in March.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police, officers responded to a 911 call on March 18, reporting that a vehicle was being driven in a dangerous manner.
Police say when officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver fled the scene.
A tire deflation device was used to bring the vehicle to a stop. As a result of the incident, the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated in hospital.
As a result of the investigation, Christopher BROSSEAU, age 30 of Greenstone, was arrested and charged with:
- Assault a peace officer
- Assault with a weapon
- Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
- Dangerous operation
- Operation while prohibited
- Motor vehicle theft
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Driving while under suspension
- Use plate not authorizes
He was also charged under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with operating a vehicle without insurance.
The accused was remanded into custody.
