Manitouwadge animal control bylaw reminder

Animal kennel operators and operators as breeders were given a friendly reminder regarding the need to ensure that they have the required permits.
City council wants staff to include cats in the Animal Control Bylaw after hearing complaints about cats at large from a number of residents.

MANITOUWADGE—The Township of Manitouwadge sent out a friendly reminder to operators of a kennel and breeder.

Their reminder advised the community that under the Manitouwadge Animal Control Bylaw 2019-17, Section 10.1 Permits, “No person shall operate a kennel or operate as a breeder anywhere in the Municipality unless he or she has first obtained a Kennel Permit or a Breeder Permit in accordance with Part 9” 9.1 Applications for Kennel Permits, Breeder Permits,”

In addition, the municipality would like residents to know that, “Every application for kennel permits, or breeder permits, or for the renewal of such a permit shall be submitted to the Clerk in the form provided by the Municipality, together with the annual permit fee, as set out in the Township’s Services and Charges Bylaw, amended from time to time.”
