MANITOUWADGE – Most user fees in Manitouwadge are holding steady in 2024.

Town council on Wednesday approved 22 pages of user fees for the coming year, with all but a handful of new expenses or increases on the books.

The town has added a 1.5 per cent charge for debit payments by internet or phone and a 2.5 per cent charge for credit card payments.

Some fees have dropped.

Memberships at the Kiwissa Ski Centre are down more than 21 per cent, from $318.85 for an adult membership to $250. The senior rate drops from $254.59 to $200 and juniors now cost $150, down from $188.70 last year.

Some golf course memberships have also dropped slightly, with the adult rate falling to $595 - $11.90 less than last year’s rate. Daily green fees remain unchanged in 2024.

The township has added an $80 daily fire-pit rental, which drops to $50 for non-profits.

Minor soccer rates have climbed slightly, jumping to $43 from $41.82 for an individual and to $81 from $78.54 for families.

Manitouwadge has ended the fee charge for forced disconnection of water services and annual flat water and sewer levies have remained the same as 2023.
