Manitouwadge OPP charges driver with impaired

Manitouwadge OPP arrested and charged an individual with impaired driving following a traffic complaint.

MANITOUWADGE – OPP Northwest Region reports that in the afternoon on June 14 officers with the Manitouwadge OPP Detachment responded to a traffic complaint of an erratic driver within the township.

The officers located the vehicle at a local business on Huron Walk and initiated a traffic stop.

During the investigation, they determined that the driver was impaired.

As a result, a 69-year-old from Manitouwadge has been arrested and charged with impaired driving and refusal to comply with demand.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court in August.
