MANITOUWADGE—The Township of Manitouwadge wants residents to do their part in keeping the community clean and inviting. Manitouwadge Spring Clean-up week is scheduled for June 6-10, 2022

Winter yard debris such as branches, and dead grass should be placed in appropriate waste collection bags and ready for road-side pick-up by Public Works staff on June 6, by 8 a.m.

Residents need to be aware that household or hazardous waste, appliances or furniture is NOT part of this event. But if anyone requires disposal of these items, the township is waiving tipping fees from June 8 through until Saturday, June 11, from 10 to 2 p.m., for non-hazardous waste disposal.

According to the announcement on the township Facebook, residents are to store hazardous waste materials safely, until Sept. 24, 2022, when they will be collected at that time.

The township clarified that spring clean-up week is for organic materials only. In addition, the Public Works Office, remind residents that materials that are not placed in neatly separated piles will not be picked up.

Questions or concerns about this event should be directed to the Township Public Works office at: (807)-826-3227 ext. 230.
