MARATHON– Free for all ages, The Great Northern Ontario Roadshow, presented by Science North, is coming to Marathon on Friday, April 29.
Touring across 50 communities, the event attracts more than 70,000 visitors, including Francophone and Indigenous audiences.
The Roadshow showcases many attentions, such as science shows, fun games, entertaining music, a staycation expo, natural wonders, and local markets to help promote tourism around Northern Ontario.
Their primary goal is to help stimulate the local economy and support job creation by reinvigorating the Northern Ontario tourism industry, which the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted over those last few years.
The Roadshow benefits small businesses, attractions, local vendors and makers by providing the opportunity to showcase their products and services to audiences from across the region.
Science North is Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attraction and an educational resource for children and adults. As part of its mandate, Science North provides science experiences throughout Northern Ontario, including outreach to schools, festivals, and summer science camps.
