MARATHON — Marathon Public Library held its First Annual Seed Exchange Saturday, April 9, 2022. The event was a great opportunity for local gardeners, friends, families to come together and share their gardening stories and secrets.
More than 30 people were in attendance, ensuring this event was a great success. MPL extend thanks to Canadian Tire for their generous donation of seeds towards the exchange.
MPL invited residents to come out Saturday, from 1 to 3 p.m. to exchange seeds at their Seed Library and learn from other gardeners. They also featured special activities for kids.
After the event, donations were collected for the Marathon Community Collective. Fun interactive games for kids in attendance were provided using the new BEAM projector. This new device is said to be an interactive projector that allows users to engage in games virtually.
