Marathon Recreation Centre updates user registration for swimming lessons

Parents, guardians, and care givers are being given a new virtual method for tracking their child's swimming progress. Marathon's Community Services and Recreation Department informed parents of their SWIMGEN program, which will facilitate this.

MARATHON—Marathon’s Community Services and Recreation Department is in the process of organizing its swimming lesson programs.

Last week, the department updated information for parents, guardians, and caregivers, highlighting that once registration is open, they will require the current level that your child is in. To better facilitate this and ensure your child’s level is up-to-date, parents are asked to log into SWIMGEN and enter the participant number to find their information.

Should they not know the participant number, parents were asked to call the recreation office or email them at [email protected] at which time staff will look it up for them.

As further clarification to this process, MCSRD indicated that if your child has never been in lessons, a participant number will be given to them with their first report card. Once the Community Services and Recreation Department has lessons scheduled, they will post when registration opens.

To log into SWIMGEN go to, https://swimgen.net/search/swimmarathon

Once logged in SWIMGEN allows you to track your child’s progress and provide you with updates, without leaving your home.
