MARATHON—In a recent interview with CFNO’s Al Cresswell, CAO Daryl Skworchinski indicated that Marathon’s Theatre is temporarily closed until further notice.
During the conversation however, Skworchinski did explain the key issues that have resulted in the closing of the Theatre.
“We had some technical issues with our projector system. We are trying to sort through it. We don’t know exactly what the issue is. We think we have to do an update which you would think would be easy but it doesn’t seem to be,” explained Skworchinski.
The other problem the municipality is facing is that the technicians who they would need to come into Marathon to fix this issue are out of B.C.
“Another challenge we have is our technicians are based out of Vancouver B.C. so its challenging to get them up here and just get them on the phone with the time change. We are working through it and we do expect we will have a resolution in the next couple of weeks,” added Skworchinski.
