MARATHON -- The Municipality of Marathon is pleased to announce a new cultural event taking place Sunday, Sept. 11, at their Lakeview Community Hall, from 6-11 p.m.
Sponsored by Barrick-Hemlo, and according to the municipality, the event is to celebrate Navratri, an Indian festival that promotes the glory of female and their empowerment in society.
This multicultural celebration is open to everyone to attend and will feature delicious Indian dishes, live folk music and tunes originating from the west coast of India.
