Marathon's Port Hole pool to shut down for the summer

Swimmers of all ages will have to wait until Sept. 5, 2022 to enjoy their community Port Hole pool.

MARATHON—Avid swimmers will have to wait until September, to enjoy their community indoor pool. Residents were informed that Marathon’s Port Hole pool will close as of June 20 until Sept. 5.

Port Hole pool is the home of the Silver Pikes swim club, a club sanctioned by Swimming Canada and offers swimming lessons, and recreational activities for community members, and children from the youngest toddler to adults.

The pool offers affordable fitness and recreation activities throughout the year and features, five swimming lanes, with a diving board, floating boards, and flotation aids for kids. Their last day for events was June 18.

Residents are encouraged to contact Port Hole pool for information regarding the swimming, fitness and recreation activities it will once again be offering come Sept. 5.
