Michipicoten First Nations to observe day of mourning

Michipicoten First Nations has announced plans to observe a day of mourning in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.

WAWA — Michipicoten First Nations has shared details of plans for a day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, following Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s announcement of a National Day of Mourning.

To mark the monarch's passing, all Michipicoten First Nation offices, including the administration building, carpentry shop, medical centre and family well-being lodge will be closed this Monday Sept. 19.

All offices will reopen on Tuesday for regular hours.
