New program provides students with a chance to engage in Anishinaabemowin

MARATHON -- A new program is giving students the opportunity to learn and engage in Anishinaabemowin.

Superior North Catholic District School Board announced an after-school immersion program that will be hosted by the Anishinaabemowin Boodawe Committee starting Feb. 16.

The program will offer students of all ages the chance to learn in Anishinaabemowin.

Classes will run every Wednesday from 4:30 to 5 p.m. and will include activities such as Bingo, Kahoot and more.

The Anishinaabemowin Boodawe Committee reminds interested students that due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be held via Zoom. Attendance draws will be held with other prizes to be won by students participating.
