RED ROCK: Library patrons of Nipigon, Red Rock and Dorion public library, are encouraged to enter this fall’s Sunflower Contes.
Sponsored by Nipigon Horticultural society, and the regions three public libraries, the contest will run from Sept. 1 until Sept. 14, 2022.
Open to all ages of residents of: Nipigon, Lake Helen, Red Rock, Hurkett and Dorion, the contest wants residents to send in their picture of their sunflower seed head, without the petals. To this photo entrants are to add the sunflower’s head dimensions using a measuring tape, and then email your name, and phone number to [email protected]
Judging will take into consideration circumference and weight for the pumpkin and circumference of the sunflower. Judging will take place on Sept. 12, 2022, with one sunflower and 1 pumpkin per person.
